MARYVILLE, Mo. - Northwest Missouri State University is implementing a safety net for students during the coronavirus pandemic.
Northwest Provost Dr. Jamie Hooyman told KXCV/KRNW that moving classes online for the rest of the semester may cause undue stress on students and faculty.
Under the plan, faculty will determine a grade for work submitted prior to March 7, called the COVID-19 grade.
COVID-19 letter grades of A and B may not go down more than one letter grade, while letter grades of C and D may not go down for the final grade. Grades of B, C, D and F can go up as a result of continued course work.
